Peninsula Home Inspections & Home Services

WELCOME

You think you have found the right home? Will the home meet your family’s needs and expectations when it comes to the functions of the home? Are they any safety issues you should be aware of? At Peninsula Home Inspections the important systems are measured and quantified and explained so that you can understand how they will impact you and your family. The Different Systems Affecting Your Home: The Plumbing System: What is the size of the water service to the home? What is the pressure of the water supply?  Where is the main shut-off valve located and is it good condition? What type of piping is used in the home? These and other factors will determine your family’s ability to use more than one plumbing fixture at a time and have adequate hot water.  The Electrical System. What is the size of the main incoming service? Are there an adequate number of circuits to meet the needs of the home? Are multiple rooms on the same circuit? Are the electrical outlets grounded, the correct polarity, and the proper voltage level? These things and more will affect how the electrical system will impact your daily living with breakers tripping or fuses blowing and your safety.  The Heating and Air Conditioning System: Is there proper air flow at each room’s registers?  Is there one or more return air ducts?  Is the furnace operating efficiently and safely? These things and more will affect your comfort and air quality and safety.   These and other home systems all effect how you will live in your new home. An inspection according to the Standards of Practice will be done with respect to the Structural System, The Building Exterior, the Roof System, the Plumbing System, the Electrical System, the Heating System, the Air Conditioning System, the interior, the Insulation and Ventilation, Fireplaces and Solid Fuel Burning Appliances. A copy of the Standards of Practice is included with each contract. Where the inspector has credentials and licenses beyond those required for a Home Inspector, he can offer a more comprehensive inspection on those specific areas.  For most people the home is the largest investment they will make, make sure you have the inspection done right so you can make an informed decision. Choose Peninsula Home Inspections for a Home Inspection above the standard. When choosing a Home Inspector, ask for a copy of their qualifications, act on facts, not quick decisions that you will regret.
